Two time Creative Emmy Award® nominee; creative by nature and a Live Events Production and Costume Designer by trade, Carlos has designed more than 57 productions of theatre, dance, parades, ceremonies, theme parks and live events around the world. His work showcases the creative direction of multiple visual aspects of a performance; combining set, wardrobe, lighting, props, video content and puppetry.

In 2014 he was Head Production Designer, Cauldron Designer and Costume Designer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the XXII Central American and Caribbean Games Veracruz 2014, as well as Stage Designer for Toronto’s Luminato Festival. In 2015 he was Production Designer and Costume Designer for the Closing Ceremonies of the XVII PanAm Games and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the ParapanAm Games Toronto 2015, as well as the PANAMANIA Live Site at Nathan Philips Square and the PanAm Park. He was been nominated twice for a Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Award for Outstanding Lighting Direction for a Variety Show or Live Event and has been awarded three Bronze Telly Awards for Production Design, Art Direction and Visual Effects.

On 2016 he was Production, Video Content and Wardrobe Designer for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Invictus Games Orlando, as well as the Invictus Games’ Medal Ceremonies and the Athlete’s Village. He was also Production Designer of the The Invictus Games Symposium on Invisible Wounds, presented by the George W. Bush Institute. Later that year he was the Production Designer for the Bloomberg Philanthropies - C40 Awards Ceremony.

Since 2017, he has been Stage Designer for Cher’s residency spectacle Classic Cher, at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Also for the past three consecutive years he has been Creative Director and Production/Costume Designer of the Day of the Dead Parade in Mexico City. He recently designed props and costumes for Justin Timberlake’s Pepsi’s Super Bowl LII Halftime Show, as well as joined Guy Laliberté’s Lune Rouge as Theme Park Designer; all, whilst designing stage and props for a new production of GREASE in Mexico City. This present year, he continued to work with multimedia design studio 4U2C now as Head of Creation and Cirque du Soleil Enterter tainment group as Video Content Designer for its new resident show in Hangzhou China which premiered in August. He finished the year as show director of the Opening Ceremony of the Formula 1 Grand Prix Mexico 2019 and consolidated his five years designing the Day of the Dead Celebrations in Mexico City.

In 2020 he will continue his work as creative director, stage designer and art director for various production/design companies in Canada, Europe, Asia and Mexico; whilst leading the show direction, production design and costume design of the new exciting resident shows on board of P&O Cruises' newest cruise-liner; The Iona, set to set sail May 2020.
